Over thirty years MIS/IT experience with private and government sectors involving the management, design, development, implementation, maintenance of automated information systems, and general IS management. Experienced with retail sales, point of sale, finance, merchandising, catalog generation, aged and physical inventory with Sam Solomon Company, Stitches of Virginia; worked with a variety of departments to develop an integrated inventory control system for city use (some 47 departments) with The City of Newport News, Virginia; programmer analyst and/or project lead on applications development for financial systems, inventory tracking and control systems, administrative systems in support of federal government working for Quality Engineering Design (QED), System Management American (SMA), Naval Regional Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station (NCTAMS), Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Space and Warfare Command (SPAWAR), and Commander Naval Region Mid-Atlantic (CNRMA). Experienced in managing the design, development, and implementation of mainframe, mini and client/server software applications. Experienced in almost all job functions within application development and implementation, including project manager, programming manager, DP manager and MIS director.
